The every 3 years returning APAP 6 (‘Anyang Public Art Project’) invited me to contribute with a site-specific sound installation in Anyang Art Park (South Korea). ‘Symbiotic City’ was the underlying theme. A series of (inter)national artists were invited by curator Sun A Moon, among which the Dutch Daan Roosegaarde and Katja Novitskova (based in Germany/ The Netherlands).
The routing of my installation is starting in Anyang Pavilion and is ending in Anyang Art Park on top of The Peak, an observatory designed by the Rotterdam MVRDV in 2005.
Vertical awareness creates a sound horizon of Anyang, a city in transition in its attempt to form a symbiosis between urban noise and the surrounding nature.
Everyday at 16:00 (except on Monday).
Headphones are available.
