Life in Soundspaces

Lecture at the Master of Film (The Netherlands Film Academy Amsterdam)
about how I listen to how life manifests itself in sound and how I makes these vital processes part of my work. I will elaborate on my working process by referring to some of my recent activities: the multiple awarded ‘Via Dolorosa’ (2013) by video artist / filmmaker Menno Otten, ‘Niets laat me vermoeden’ / ‘There’s nothing to tell me’ (2015), an interactive GPS Soundwalk in nature about World War 1, and my most recent research project: a ‘listening research trip’ to urban China. This will lead to a new work, ‘Time Lapse China’.
