There is nothing to tell me
“In the warm air the swallows swirl again, high up I think a see a lark ascending....There is nothing to tell me there’s a war on”.
A line from the book of the Belgian writer Stefan Hertmans about WW1 made me connect my sound walk with Belgian refugee camps in Gaasterland during WW1 and with asylum seeker centers in the neighborhood.
Fifteen local and (inter) national visual artists have been invited to LÛD, sound art in Rijsterbos.
The Gaasterland Art Society wants this exhibition to give an impression of the diversity that exists within the world of sound art.
