There is nothing to tell me

“In the warm air the swallows swirl again, high up I think a see a lark ascending….There is nothing to tell me there’s a war on”.
A line from the book of the Belgian writer Stefan Hertmans about WW1 made me connect my sound walk with Belgian refugee camps in Gaasterland during WW1 and with asylum seeker centers in the neighborhood.

Fifteen local and (inter) national visual artists have been invited to LÛD.
The Gaasterland Art Society wants this exhibition to give an impression of the enormous diversity that exists within the world of sound art.

a meditative sound walk, 9 and 10 july, 2016
A path leading past five small waterfalls at the foot of the Hemelse Berg near Oosterbeek and my love of experimenting with binaural, stillness-inspiring sound prompted me to create a variation on Portabe Silence 1.
